TYPE:
The Vinter's Hook is a semi-soft cheese made in the Munster
tradition, i.e. a washed rind cheese with a red smear rind.
ORIGIN:
The recipe originally was developed by Benedictine monks
some 1300 years ago.
TASTE & USE:
The cheese is soft and smelly.
SERVING & WINE RECOMMENDATION:
An ideal cheese for the cheese board best accompanied by a
fruity Gewueztraminer so typical for the Alsace region where
this cheese originated.
SIZE:
A round usually weighs 600-700gr.
