TYPE:
The Mountain Cheese is a hard cheese, brine salted, slightly
pressed and matured for at least 3 months.
ORIGIN:
Made in the style of a Bergkaese of the Swiss Alps.
TASTE & USE:
This cheese has a lovely nutty flavor. It is ideal for cutting or
grating, so use it on your sarmies or in your Italian pasta
dishes. We also recommend it as one of the ingredients for
cheese Fondue.
SERVING & WINE RECOMMENDATION:
A smooth Cape Blend wine goes well with Mountain Cheese.
SIZE:
A whole round usually weighs 2.2 – 2.8 Kg and you may order
this cheese whole or in vacuum packed retail size wedges.
